I have been a Christian since I was eight years old, a husband since I was 21 (that’s Jenny in the picture), a father since I was 24 (three daughters). I have been a grandfather 20 years (ten grandchildren now), and a minister since I was in high school (did I disguise that enough that you can’t figure out how old I am?). My first ‘ministry’ job was as church custodian in the church where I grew up. My first pastorate was in Indiana, while I was in seminary. Most of my ministry career was with the Baptist Children’s Home, located in Lakeland.
For the past eight years I have served as an Interim Pastor, and Bayshore is my fifth place of service in that role. For me, Interim Ministry is a special calling, allowing me to use my years of training and experience to lead churches during a time of transition. I loved Bayshore immediately, and am grateful to God and the church for the opportunity to be here. And – if you’ve read this far and are looking for a great church – this is it!
